Interested in Guitar Lessons?
Ben Morris has over twelve years of experience playing and teaching guitar. Ranging in different genres of music – from pop, rock and country, to metal and jazz, Ben offers a unique, well-versed and diverse background. He has taught lessons to students as young as seven (7) and as old as fifty (50), and is skilled and knowledgeable on both acoustic and electric guitar.
Growing up, Ben’s album collections consisted of a wide variety of artists – including Earth Wind & Fire, James Taylor, Rascal Flats, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Nickel Creek, and Michael Jackson. Majoring in music at Montgomery County Community College, Ben performed in multiple jazz ensembles and recorded different music projects in MontCo’s Sound Recording Technology program. After his time at MontCo, Ben transitioned to performing full-time in a folk/pop band called Sunday Muse, which has since disbanded. Succeeding that, he launched an indie-folk duo project called Homestead Collective and has written and performed in the project for the last three years full-time while teaching guitar. In both projects, Ben has released 2 EPs & 4 singles available now on all digital platforms. He has performed in venues such as World Cafe Live, TedX Providence, The Purple Fiddle, Milkboy Philadelphia, & the Philadelphia Folk Festival.
Maybe you have never before picked up a guitar and are curious to learn. Maybe you play guitar but are wanting to expand your capabilities. Ben offers one free complimentary lesson to new students.
